One of the friendliest places I have ever stayed. The manager ( I think he probably owns it) held the doors for us, not just when we checked in, but during our entire stay as I am disabled, he went the extra mile to make sure it was easy for me to get in and out. He also offered to carry our luggage. The room was freshly renovated, well cleaned and extremely quiet and comfortable. We slept excellent both nights we stayed here. Also nice cold A/C, which was huge since we stayed during some hot weather. Vanderhoof is an extremely friendly town and we definitely plan to visit again!

    Vanderhoof is a nice little community on the shores of the Nechako River, we spent time on the river and visited the Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre, which was very interesting and we highly recommend.

    Staying at the Homestead, was great because there was a subway across the street & with the pandemic on, there are not many places to eat safely. Arriving at 6 p.m. I did not have a chance to drive into Vanderhoof and check it out. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Sure was hoping there would be an E charger for my car.

    I had a great experience staying at the hotel. I accidentally booked the room for the wrong date and when I discovered my mistake I called them day after the reservation and they were understanding switched the booking to the correct day without charge. Would recommend others to stay here.

    Comfortable clean rooms, staff waited for me even though I didn't arrive until an hour after office hours. Had made an envelope for me if I was even later. Just great, friendly service and rooms that are clean comfortable and rival any of the big chains!

    The hotel has no elevator would be the only downside. The stairs are steep and hard to navigate with large luggage.
