This place was awful from customer service from the host to...
This place was awful from customer service from the host to the details on the posting. Felt like a scam the entire time I dealt with them because once I booked a non-refundable stay he had no incentive to care about me. Sam, the host, seems to be of the mindset that the more aggressive you are with your travelers the better. He was rude, inflexible and did nothing to make me, a single woman traveling alone, feel comfortable or safe. Sam was completely unwilling to refund any portion of my booking once I told him I was feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. When I booked this place I was under the impression that I had a small "beautiful house" to myself. A week before the booking I found out that it's a guest house, so it shared common spaces with other travelers. The description on the listing is vague enough that it is hard to tell what accommodations each level of guest has. I asked questions to find out more but he kept just referring me back to the listing. He evaded my questions that could have easily made me more comfortable such as "Is there a lock on the bedroom?" "How are security and noise handled?" "What are the shared spaces with other travelers like?" Ultimately he chose to stand tall on his non-refundable policy vs listening to and being empathic toward a unique situation in which someone was not feeling safe with the lack of information provided and newly learning that I'd be sharing space with strangers, including Sam. Booking.com was absolutely terrible to deal with as well. In the end I chose my safety over my money and lost the entire booking cost. Do not book here and do not use booking.com, they do not support their customers in a situation like this.Guest review byStephanieUnited States
