We felt so very welcomed by the super friendly owner Eliana and her house is cozy, beautiful and unique. Situated at the River Sierpe and in a lush garden we were surrounded by the stunning nature. We went on an early morning boat trip for three hours organized by Eliana and saw lots of different birds, some crocodiles, some caymans and two species of monkeys (capuchin and squirrel monkeys). After the boat trip Eliana indulged us with a delicious breakfast. We would have loved to stay longer... Thank you so much! ♡

Perfect spot to overnight on the way to Drake and also to explore Sierpe and surroundings. The staff were really kind and helpful. I arrived super late by bus from San Jose and they went to pick me up in Palmar Norte under the rain and brought me to the accommodation. It was a life saver as I was carrying lots of luggage and finding a taxi under the rain at 10pm was not in my plans. The room is simple but very comfortable with everything that you need, and you wake up to the views of the Sierpe river at your doorstep.

Hotel Margarita is a great place to stay while in Sierpe. The room is big, bed is big and very comfortable. The shower is enormous (the biggest I've ever seen), water is hot and everything is super clean. You can use a large kitchen with all necessary amenities. But what is the most important, the people who work there are extraordinarily nice and helpful. My fiancee got dengue during our stay in Costa Rica and the owner called the pharmacy and gave me all the instruction that I needed. I can recommend this place 100%

Very quiet place on the other side of the river bank. Wade (host) picks you up by boat (at any time) and looks after his guests very attentively and has lots of exciting stories to tell. We were only here for one night and would have loved to stay longer in this magical, deserted place in the middle of the mangroves. If you're lucky, you might see crocodiles nesting next door.

We absolutely loved it ! If you're staying at La Muñequita Lodge, you are not just booking a random place to sleep : you are experiencing probably the most authentic and amazing experience in Costa Rica ! You'll be sleeping in a wooden caban, handmade, opened so you'll be litteraly sleeping amoung the flowers, the trees, the birds (red macaws, toucan...) ! Dont worry tho, there's light, fresh water, toilets, a great shower and everything you need ! It's an enchanted garden where you have all the privaty and the calm you'll need ! The hosts are the nicest : they'll be giving you a tour of the farm, you'll be casually learning about local trees, fruits, eating fresh tropical fruits directly from the trees, you'll meet the cows, goats and their babies : if you're lucky enough as we were, you'll be milking the goats, feeding the babies ! Such a precious, magical and unforgettable moment for us... For the dinner, if you want it, they'll cook for you a delicious, consistent local meal, wich you'll be eating at their table, meeting the others tourists : such a precious moment too ! For the breakfast : traditional coffee, pancakes with syrup or if you are not tired of it : pinto gallo :) The pancakes were just delicious ! Great location on the way to Drake Bay. Nice an comfortable with AC in the whole house. Well equipped kitchen. But most of all, very lovely hosts who can even help with transportation to Drake Bay and tours.
