Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food. Beautiful acommodation. Nice location. The evening entertainment was very tasteful. After dinners nice and pleasant walks to the centrum of Sal Rei which took about 25 minutes (there is an option to order taxi for the lazy ones .-) )

Boa Vista is dirty and under development, I am sure it will be nice when it is finished. If you safely in an hotel I am sure it is fine but for an independent traveller it isn't. I tried to hire a bicycle or scooter through an outfit called Katlantik, who are totally useless and should be avoided like the plague so I had to walk everywhere, luckily it's a small island!. There are beach sports available but they focus on wing foiling and everything else is a bit too much trouble for them, one place did have an old fashioned hobie cat but it was broken (for the last two years) and nobody seemed motivated to get it fixed, they offered wing foiling as an alternative. Most places only accept cash but when I was there none of the ATM machine's worked and getting currency from a bank takes between 30 minutes and two hours. There are some nice restaurants and the sand is lovely. I was asked at the airport if I would recommned friends visit Cape Verde? NO

Great Island to visit in Cabo Verde not as consume by tourism like Santa Maria in Sal. I would recomend for long stays to plan ahead and make sure you have whatever booking of tours, rentals, etc... before hand otherwise you´ll have to improvise. North and South island have great landscapes to visit and the town has some attractions to rest between adventures.

Sal Rei is he Capitaol of Boa Vista Cape Verde. It is a small city on the water. There are many options for hotel and restaurants. It is tropical in temperature so dress accordingly. Expolre all of the food(restaurant) options as there are many. The beach is fantastic

A lovely little town of exceptionally friendly folk. The vibe was relaxed, we all felt safe, even travelling with young kids, and it was nice to get away from our city life. People really welcomed us and we could see that it was a genuine interest towards us which made all the difference. The beach is outstanding, very clean, unspoiled and peaceful and goes on for miles. The food was beautifully seasoned everywhere we went and everyone gave us a smile. Beautiful place.

Sal Rei, although the capital of Boa Vista is small and the people are friendly. It is easily posible to walk around Sal Rei in an hour. Several beach bars in the area where you can just chill. Everything is very relaxed.

Perfect place to relax if you like a beach destination.

Perfect place to relax if you like a beach destination. In the island there are plenty of really nice white sand beaches completely empty. Very calm place. I would not recommend it though if you are looking for a party place, they have a few bars but not many people around. Locals are lovely and food is great. Good for a relaxing holidays but I would not stay more than a week as there is not much to do around.

Best accommodation I stayed in during my island hopping adventure in Cape Verde. The room was clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable, I slept very well there. Everything in the room looked very new and it was super clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very nice. It was quiet when I was there, maybe I had a good price offer due to low season but this accommodation exceeded my expectations, would definitely return if I go back to Cape Verde.

Perfect location just few steps away both from the beach and the main street of Sal Rei. The host was super helpful with all questions we had about the town, places to buy bread or souvenirs. The apartment is very nicely decorated and well equipped for self catering if this is your option.
