Bad Muenster am Stein-Ebernburg has been annexed into Bad...
Bad Muenster am Stein-Ebernburg has been annexed into Bad Kreuznach, which is 3 km along the Nahe river away. Kreuznach itself has a beautiful Spa, park and fantastic old city. B.M. is a little jewel - with its own spa, park and lovely half timbered architecture. We have been visiting friends there for many years, and have walked all the river paths, enjoyed `taking the airs` at the Saline Works - ate and drank just about everywhere...with Corona, of course, lots is still closed. Nestled in a crook of the Nahe, in the shadow of the `Rotenfels`` - Red Cliffs, this is a typical wine and spa village. There is a great walking/cycling path from B.M. to Kreuznach, and the castle Ebernburg thrones over the whole area. The castle is open, now converted to a hostel and meeting hotel, and is available to overnight in. There are lots of wine cellars that offer tasting and light meals - but most open after 4pm. We can recommend the cellars Jung, and Rapp in the historical area under the castle vineyards.Guest review byCanadian in HamburgGermany
