A lovely boutique hotel away from the other mass tourist hotels. Lovely common area by the pool with sunbeds and sofas. Nice restaurants with many options. There are even chickens on the property.

Sweet Home Punta Cana Guest House equals top places I've stayed at in my many travels. The hosts were clear and prompt during the online booking process. I came in on a late flight and the prearranged check-in, though after midnight, was smooth. The room accommodation was wonderful, with air-con, fridge, bathroom with a great shower, TV, amazingly comfortable bed, excellent wifi service, and private balcony with chairs and table overlooking wonderful flowering tropical trees, with chirping songbirds flying in and out of the trees a few feet away. It's in an enclosed community, so traffic and other external noise was minimal to non-existent. (No noise from other occupied rooms either.) The kitchen was super-well-stocked with appliances, dishes, pans, sharp knives, etc., as good in quality as in private homes. The "public spaces" such as living room and dining room are quaint and gorgeous with many obviously loved antique items, including Dominican Republic items - and piano and guitars for use. Even a hifi for playing vinyl records, and many vinyl records, both 33 1/3 and 45s! I was staying alone but if I had been there with my partner I would have played some records and danced with her there - and maybe asked other guests to join us. The front yard has a garden swing, table and chairs, and more greenery. Parking right in front. Friendly guards smile at the front gate of the community, and just around the corner of that gate is a large food store (10 minute walk form the guest house), and beside it a "farmacia". A short, easy, fun, inexpensive public bus ride away is a large mall for other items/needs. Public beach very close by: I got to the beach (and other places) on one of the guest house's bicycles (with locks and helmets). But the highest compliment goes to the on-site staff. Pipi the manager went far beyond in helping me with language and other aspects of the stay; he's now a personal friend.

Rooftop pool area was relaxing and perfect for cooling off during the warm afternoons.beach was extremely close, and I visited it every day to enjoy the stunning Caribbean Sea. There were plenty of restaurants in the area, offering everything from local dishes to international cuisine. The staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help with anything I needed. All entire hotel felt safe and very well cared for.

Very cool and helpful hotel staff and the location of the room. The breakfast is okay other food is good The bad part was The loud music from the restaurant and loud noise from the restaurant exhaust broke the quietness which bothered us too much

No Wifi/Internet in the rooms, key card should be working all the time, Need English speaking Programs on TV, include reggae music, shower should maintain hot water during showering. put Drinks in the fridge. Money should always be available to make change for cash at the front desk.

You may go to Punta Cana for the nice weather, may be staying at a high end resort, not very impressed with the two beaches I visited (may be a private beach within a resort would be better). Very noisy town due to motorcycles . I was staying in the Bavaro area which is considered a safe area but I definitely do not recommend to walk the street, Every taxi, motorcycle and the motor tricycle would blow its horn to solicit for business, I even had one stalking me all the way and I did not understand what he wanted. Had to call for Uber even for a short distance travel, not a safe place to walk around.

If you like the beach come.

If you like the beach come. The only place I found to walk was along the beach and the resort security guards would make sure you did not walk near any of their lounge chairs. I needed to stay near the water. There were lots of expensive activities to do.

You arrive at their airport and then go straight to your all...

You arrive at their airport and then go straight to your all inclusive. We never left the resort which is a 45 minute drive from the airport. Punta Cana is a strip of highly guarded hotels among poverty. It was too hot to golf so bring a good book or two.

I went to stay in Punta Cana for about one week, three nights in two different resorts. I honestly did not see a lot from the region at all because I did not leave the resorts, I mainly went there to relax in the sun by the pool and read a book. In both resorts the staff was working efficient and friendly, there was good food and enjoyable entertainment.

This hotel truly offers the best of Punta Cana. Our studio had a terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee while listening to the birds in the garden. The rooftop pool gave us gorgeous views over the ocean. We loved the convenience of being so close to Arena Gorda Beach. Dining at the outdoor restaurant was always a treat, especially with the fresh seafood.

We had a layover of 2 nights in the Dominican republic with flight in and out from Punta Cana. Sol Caribe Hotel was for us a perfect accommodation for our short stay with an excellent value for money. Very comfortable and clean room. Very friendly people and positive vibes. Abundant food for breakfast - I loved the pancakes.

Great basic hotel for a one night stop over in Punta Cana if you dont want to pay the high tourist hotel prices. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Hotel mainly seemed to be used by locals working in the area. Chilled place, easy to walk out from and grab essentials. Very good air con.
