They served the best bread I've encountered so far in Spain. Nice moist rye. A treat after all the white bread . The place was beautiful, quite unusual oval-shaped stairwell and curved doors. Beautiful setting in the mountains. Set back off the main street, it was very peaceful.

This is a homestay in a remote part of the El Bierzo although it is a short drive to Ponferrada. The house was lovely and just what we needed for a restful stay. It is a very well-equipped house with a separate barbeque area by the little brook. There is parking for a car. The lovely balcony is great for people watching and watching the world go by with a book. There are walks from the house. We were met with the keys and it was easy to keep in contact with the owners through Whats App. The owner kindly left us a bottle of local wine. There is a co-operative bakery in the village - we had freshly baked bread every evening! We had a lovely stay.

Although we had to walk to a separate place for our meals, it was in such a great location with beautiful views. Food was great value.

Very friendly host. Lovely, renovated building with very nice rooms. Located in peaceful rural sorroundings, near the Las Medulas. Worth visiting.
