The hotel somewhere in the outskirts of Barcelona, almost in a separate city. It’s roughly 20km from the city centre. The closest metro station is 800+ meters away. The neighbourhood is also pretty run down in the middle of car cleaning spaces…so not pleasant. Some of the connection problems from the hotel are also perhaps to do with a lack of connectivity in city-wide public transport. The hotel itself is a bit strange. Check in is at 2PM, and they won’t even check if a room is ready before that. The room was small but well-lit. The bed linens were slightly jaded and not pristine white, and so were some of the bathroom fittings. The third bed in the room was just about enough to fit one person. There are no luggage racks, or place to open the luggage except the floor. Once the luggage was open, there is no space left to walk in the room. There is one open closet but not enough space to keep things. The beds were made and the room was done up when a request was made. Except soap and what they labelled as ‘towel for free’ there is nothing else provided and guests are asked to ask for price in case they wanted anything in toiletries. The staff was curt and bureaucratic for nothing. Breakfast is normal - standard European breakfast @ 10 Euros; nothing to write home about.Guest review byAP_JSIndia - 8.0
If you want a quiet place and not the booming city center...
If you want a quiet place and not the booming city center it’s a great place. Because there are shopping malls and small convenient stores. I recommend buying a „Hola Barcelona“ ticket for the appropriate hours. It’s great because you can take the metro, the L&R lines and the busses. Otherwise you will have to buy a ticket for the metro and one for the L&R lines. That would make it expensive. Sometimes some places would stink. Budget hotel located close to a shopping mall, and that’s it. Facilities non existing. 50 to 60 Euros a night would be a most appropriate price, definitely not worth 137.00 € which is as much as I paid for one night. The area is really quiet and safe, you can also have a good access to the center of the city. What I’d like to emphasize is support of Anaïs who takes care of you. She was very kind, friendly and always there when you need any help. I came to Barcelona knowing nothing, so her help was really helpful.
