I practically never write reviews, but this place truly deserves it! 🙌🏻 It was a real escape from the hustle and bustle of city life—starting with the journey to the hotel. A tiny serpentine road winds into the mountains, passing through a beautiful forest straight out of a fairytale. The views were breathtaking, the rooms spacious, the food excellent, and the atmosphere incredibly romantic—calm and quiet. I slept like a baby. I absolutely loved that breakfast was served in the room—no need to rush in the morning. Just wake up and enjoy the moment with your partner. We stayed for two nights but wished we had booked a bit longer. The staff went above and beyond to take care of all our needs, even after we checked out. They managed to secure a reservation for us at a three-star Michelin restaurant—something we thought was impossible!

Excellent vibe about the hotel and bar, very friendly petrol station just across that helped us out with a tyre, cute little botanic gardens just across the river with excellent information. Staff super friendly and food rich and tasty. Garage parking perfect for a smallish car.

This is a marvellous property. Our hosts, Xefe and Franco are lovely people and made every effort to make us comfortable. The place is in a beautiful location and very peaceful. The food was excellent and an early breakfast helped get us underway for our Camino. Muchas Gracias!

This place is a real gem; comfortable and attractive room, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and warm hosts who went out of their way to be helpful. Beautiful views from the outside terrace and from the rooms. A little remote, up a winding road, but worth it.

Beautiful hotel with lovely wooden beams. The bedroom was an ample size. The bed was so warm and comfortable. Unfortunately it was taking when we arrived and dark so didn’t get to see the grounds

We had a week of holidays in this apartment and we had a lovely stay. The host welcomed us very friendly, showed us everything and explained all necessary things. Place is very comfortable and well equipped with exceptional views of Elizondo valley. We would recommend this property if you want a nice peaceful stay in Spanish mountains.

It's a lovely town with an amazing historic centre, lots of...

It's a lovely town with an amazing historic centre, lots of cafes (one, with a terrace by the river, is perfect for warm evenings, and another one, in front of the church, is most charming, but there are more of equal charm and food quality). There are several restaurants and places to eat. It's lively, as it is the commercial centre of the valley and a perfect base to explore the Malerreka Valley, the Bertiz-Arana Park and the stunning Baztan Valley. The French Basque region, with its beautiful villages and coastal towns, is just 40 minutes away by car and the seaside is just 30 minutes away. And if one fancies a day in a big city, Pamplona is 1/2 hour away and San Sebastian is about 40 minutes in the opposite direction. And for those who fancy a day at the spa, in the next village, Elgorriaga, there's a modern spa facility with a swimming pool and more.

We stayed here to escape the August mayhem down on the...

We stayed here to escape the August mayhem down on the beaches and had fun exploring the foothills of the Pyrenees. So quiet and peaceful - and much cheaper. The hostal is what you would expect in a small country village, but the staff made it special.
