Our stay at Refreshing Oasis was pleasant. The instructions for key collection were detailed and clear, complete with pictures, making it easy to find our way. The apartment was perfectly clean, beautifully furnished, and very well-maintained. Recently renovated, it was equipped with everything we needed, and the tasteful décor made it feel even more inviting. The space looked exactly as depicted in the photos, which was reassuring. We were welcomed by exceptional cleanliness and, without any special request, were even provided with a parking space in the underground garage. The apartment is quiet, with no street noise, and its location is great — just a short walk to the ocean and a few minutes to the nearest shop. Additionally, Tenerife South Airport is conveniently close, making arrivals and departures hassle-free. Though our stay was brief, the apartment met all our expectations perfectly. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-appointed place to stay in El Médano.

    El Medano is totally different than the other more common...

    El Medano is totally different than the other more common tourist centres further up the coast. Aimed for surfing types, wind/foil/kite and more. Enough nice restaurants and cafes for local food. No late night life but Fri and Saturdays are usually still lively. Beaches pristine and can walk for kms. Have to mention the wind, as it's almost always blowing, but that's what draws the surfers.

    As my husband is not very mobile, El Medano is ideal as it is mainly flat and easy to walk. There is a wooden boardwalk along the sea front. Restaurants, shops a large square and a childrens' play area are all within easy reach.

    I like that El Medano is not a tourist town.

    I like that El Medano is not a tourist town. Although there are tourists there, they try to cater for them in a non-tourist way. No Irish bars, no beer price wars down the promenade and no signs for full English breakfasts. People are really friendly and the views are fantastic

    We love El Medano, We usually stay in Los Christianos, however this was a very different holiday for us, everything was at hand, El Medano is very easy to get around, the local people are very welcoming. MEDANO4YOU staff were brilliant and extremely helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Loved it.

    Not as touristy as Los Christianos or Playa de las Americas...

    Not as touristy as Los Christianos or Playa de las Americas but still plenty of cheap restaurants, bars and cafes. I didn't notice any discos or nightclubs (but there may be some). Good for small children. Safe.

    I fell in love with El Medano town.

    I fell in love with El Medano town. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the smallness of the town which meant it was easy to navigate. Though small there were plenty of good restaurants and cafes. I enjoyed the farmers market on one of the days abd generally being close to the sea and being able to swim regularly was lovely.

    We only stayed here for one night at the end of a week in La Gomera. We chose it as it was convenient for getting to the airport for our flight the next day. We had a very large comfortable room with a small balcony overlooking the sea. The communal spaces inside and outside the hotel were very nice. We relaxed on the sun terrace using the free towels given at reception. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed walking around El Medano and found good places for lunch and dinner. We would have been happy to stay for longer.

    I live in Tenerife, and I just wanted to get away from everything for the weekend. It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was very pleasant and perfect for relaxing. I definitely recommend it.
