This is such a magical part of the world. Bar Gran Sol for pinxtos is a must do experience, the other pinxtos restaurants are equally fab. For an outstanding gastronomic experience head for Gastroteka Danontzat in the medieval part of town, outstanding food, wine & the vibes are real. Hondarribia is more intimate than its larger cousin - San Sebastian - just a short drive away. The old town as one can imagine is full of history and interesting buildings. The newer part of the town has the beach and plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes. There is enough to keep a couple entertained for several days. If you want a drive over the mountains there is a twisty road to San Sebastian well worth a try. Recommended for a couple to visit - probably not great for kids unless in the summer for the beach.Guest review byFrancisFrance

Located in the centre, with some of the best pinxtos bars and restaurants we have eaten in, plus supermarkets and bakeries close by. Clean, fresh and modern equipment and fittings, comfortable beds and quiet apartment block. Easy access to San Sebastian, brilliant bus service. Delicious local wines. Plenty of walks locally. Parking needs to be prebooked which we did fortunately because there are few spaces at the hotel or in the vicinity. A pleasant and comfortable room with a view. The receptionists were polite and had a sense of humour. In addition to the usual continental style breakfast a cooked breakfast was prepared on order not in bain maries to go cold or rubbery. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there is a nice bar attached to the hotel, which attracted locals as well as guests. We booked this hotel the same day so didn’t have much room choice. However, as we had our dog with us, they gave us the biggest room they had, on the top floor with lovely views.
