The entire experience we had was absolutely exceptional. It’s difficult to pick one single thing that I liked the most because everything was so perfect. What I most liked about the property is how friendly and lovely everyone from the staff is. Extremely helpful and kind, ready to make your stay truly exceptional. We stayed at Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella for our honeymoon, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such kindness—the staff upgraded our room and surprised us with a bottle of cava, a delicious dessert, and a thoughtful handwritten card. It was such a lovely welcome and set the tone for the rest of our stay. Every member of staff we encountered was exceptional—from the cleaning staff to the pool team, reception, breakfast crew, and the restaurant staff. Everyone made us feel genuinely cared for and added to the overall warmth of the experience. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was large and so cozy, and the bathroom was modern with double sinks and a great shower. Even the hair dryer was powerful—no need to bring your own! I loved that the hotel used all Diptyque products. It felt very luxurious. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. I couldn’t wait for the almond croissants—they were absolutely delicious! The fruit selection was fresh, the bread was baked to perfection, and the scrambled eggs were impressively well-cooked—something that’s rarely done right in a hotel buffet. On our final night, we dined at Jara Restaurant and it was outstanding. The staff were amazing and so friendly and professional. I had the lamb, which was cooked to perfection, while my husband enjoyed the whole squid, which was also excellent. We ended the meal by sharing a rich chocolate dessert—so tasty and a perfect way to end the evening. We enjoyed cocktails by the pool daily—they were strong, well-made, and added to the relaxing atmosphere. The sun loungers were so comfortable and the towels were new and fluffy. The hotel itself is about a 10-minute drive from Marbella town, which was perfect for us—it felt peaceful yet conveniently located. The decor throughout the hotel is modern and stylish, with a calm, chilled-out vibe. And the scent throughout the property was divine!

    We stayed 3 weeks in this apartment and didn’t want to leave. It was exceptionally clean and well equipped. The views from the balcony were breathtaking and there was plenty of outdoor furniture. The balcony also had a retractable canopy. The property is quite isolated from the main thoroughfare but that suited us. The drive up to the apartment is very steep and takes about 12 minutes up a really twisty road. I would highly recommend this property. We hope to return soon. Hi

    La Mairena is just outside of the popular beach village...

    La Mairena is just outside of the popular beach village Elviria. From the beach in Elviria, it's a 10-12 minutes drive uphill to La Mairena. La Mairena is quite green and has the most amazing views you can imagine! There are not too many shops or restaurants there. It's very residential, but large shopping markets and restaurants are just a 10 minute drive.
