The location was wonderful! It was next to the Douro River and the sound of water flowing was soothing. It was surrounded by trees, which gave it a wonderful extra touch with nature. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful.

We loved the attention to detail across all premises, everything was exceptionally well tended, we’ll preserved and clean. The staff was attentive and friendly and the food is exceptional in all restaurants. Excellent modern/new house finished/fitted to a high standard. Ideal for larger family / group of friends who can take all of the house (4 bedrooms I think). 2 balconies directly overlooking river would be ideal for family social time. Lovely kitchen & dining area. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Host was very welcoming (but doesn't live on-site.)

Hotel by Douro River surround by bodegas. Professional and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant with passionate sommelier who provided great local wines to accompany the meal. Also, nice beer selection. Don't miss the black pudding lasagna, s signature dish.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The quality of food at dinner was superb. They have a good selection of wine too. Worth a visit just for that! They were able to give me gluten free bread with no fuss. Quiet hotel and a good find.
