Tonanes is in a great location by the coast, so there are good walks from the village. It is also easy and quick to get to places in the area eg Santillana del Mar (10 minutes), Altamira Caves (15) and Comillas (15). Many great beaches are minutes away. It is easy to get to places further away, such as Santander, by car or - as we did - commuter train (40 minutes) from Puente San Miguel (15 minutes away).Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom

The room had character and charm. Continental breakfast was tasty and having the option of evening meals was ideal and added to the relaxation. Lovely gardens for strolling around. We did not use the outdoor pool due to the cool weather but it looked nice for a warm day. Our room was large with plenty of drawer and hanging space with a balcony overlooking the large garden and very comfortable beds.
