I love this place - it was not the first time I stayed there and I'll definitely come back again. This time we were traveling by car from Madrid to Porto and stayed in Hacienda Zorita, which is somehow in the middle, for a night. We stayed in the main building and it was perfect - over the water, very peaceful. The 1st floor has a lovely lounge area with the fireplace. The breakfast is amazing - with the freshest local food.

Very nice staff. The dinner was perfect. Very good options and we'll put together. They had secured parking even for our big van. Perfect for travelling trough, but I would gladly stay here again for a longer time as well.

Superb all round. Castellanos de Villiquera is a quirky little town, and in the midst of it is this gem hosted by Martin. Everything on offer was first class, and the Christmas dinner he prepared was worthy of a top restaurant. A wonderful way for my wife, and our dog, to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. If you ever get the chance, book a stay.
