The road is illuminated and really safe to move around, because the richest residents of Finland live next to the road. We stayed in Espoo for one night,then stayed four in Helsinki. It was the best way of enjoying the snow (being Irish it is a novelty )and enjoying the peaceful forest surrounding the hotel. It was a great start to our christmas break before going into the city. It was magical and I did a morning hike around the grounds of the hotel. The staff were very friendly, talkative, and helpful. There was a big group having an event the day we were there and we had a fantastic dinner with the same menu as them. The room was simple but tasteful with a balcony facing the beautiful snowy landscape and a sweet forest aroma, and what a comfy bed! The next morning: great breakfast!
