Breakfast was amazing and probably 9/10ths of the reason you should book here, too. The spread was incredible with the usual suspects: scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurts, bread station and coffee/tea. In addition they had various local fish including smoked fish (2 types), herring (3 types), fish roe (two types), local cheeses, and local fruits. It was phenomenal. They also have a left luggage facility which is secure.

Nice hotel right next to main ferry port of Mariehamn, serving excellent breakfast in the morning, and the staff are very friendly and very nice. I forgot to mail my postcards, so they offered to do this for me free of charge and I am very happy that they did this, as I did not have to run to the post office at the last minute. The room is exactly as you see it in the photos, modern, warm, clean, and the location is very central so a couple of streets away from the main sights and things to be seen in Mariehamn. Definitely recommended property.

Two bedrooms, living room, kitchenette with all mod-cons, bathroom with shower, bathtub, washing machine and dryer. What really surprised us was the level to which the apartment was serviced. Each day the beds were made, towels changed and dishes placed in the dishwasher. Highly recommended!

Definitely worth visiting—a genuinely pleasant experience. That said, one can’t help but feel that in Europe’s smallest metropolis, shops exist mostly to enjoy their time off. We spent five days there; for the first three, everything was completely closed—shops and restaurants. And when the shops finally opened, it was almost as if they were doing us a favour—just a few brief hours, then back to their well-earned rest. Understandably, during the peak summer holiday, the locals are fully entitled to enjoy themselves. Still, if they were out in the open rather than tucked away behind walls, visitors might at least have a chance to share in their joy—or at least catch a glimpse of it.

It was a very cozy and modern city at the same time.

It was a very cozy and modern city at the same time. The last time I was there, was 20 years ago, so many changes had taken place! I recommend the museums, they are worth a visit. Also, the city library is very nice.

It is one if the coziest and most accecible places I’ve been. The city is clean and people are very nice. The most amazing place I’ve visited there was Åland culture musuem. You can try one of the most delicious thai foods in Khun mom restaurant.

Historical sights on the island - almost everything on the island is no more than 30 mins. drive from Mariehamn. The island has a sense of uniqueness and it's very silent and peaceful. Åland is a dream destination for anyone interested in maritime matters. It was pity that all the ancient middle age churches and the Mariehamn church were closed during the day time although many school classes and cruise passengers were in town and on the island. However, these sights are probably easier to visit during the proper summer. Remember to eat the Åland pancakes, available for instance in the oldest wooden house of Åland in Mariehamn.

It is a charming city with kind people.

It is a charming city with kind people. We visited Maxinge shopping center and ate one of the best pizzas in a long time in a Diablo pizzeria, which felt authentically Italian (from one that grew up on Italian) in so many ways. A trip would have been worth it just for it. Many lovely places for charming walks around the city and area.

Elegant furnishings, neutral decor, really friendly staff, very clean and well-kept. Breakfast staff very friendly and understanding even if we were a bit late eating breakfast. Really good and varied food selection at breakfast! All in all, this is a very nice hotel in an excellent location in Mariehamn. Highly recommended.

Great location, lovely staff and the hotel has been totally rebuilt it was in first class condition. They must update their homeside Perfect for us as we were travelling to Åland for a dog show and the location is perfect with lots of areas to walk our dogs and restaurants were local

Twin room was very clean and comfortable and the shower was excellent. The breakfast had so much selection! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a quiet calm hotel. I wish that I could have stayed longer.
