Ranua was everything we imagined it to be.
Ranua was everything we imagined it to be. We got to witness northern lights and had some exceptional snow during our stay. The Ranua zoo wasn't all that great and the food in the wildlife park was very overpriced. But except that, Ranua was wonderful.Guest review byJiaTariq2427United Kingdom

This place is in the countryside, on a farm with dairy cows, and hosted by a really friendly family. The property is comfortable and spacious with all of the basics you will need (do go to the supermarket/shops before arriving as otherwise you have a long drive there and back). We slept very well, with no noise or disturbances (we were a family of 4, with 2 small kids). The sauna, overlooking the lake, is *really* something. Bring your swimclothes. Ranua is a precious little hideaway and this place is perfect to explore the Finnish Lapland. The breakfast is great and the staff is very friendly and warm - always helpful even with small special requests. The value for money is great - it is cheap yet has all the necessary facilities. You cannot expect more. It is a nice option to spend a night if you are travelling from the north or vice versa.
