I stayed only 2 nights at Navi's homestay and I wish I had more time. They welcomed me as familly, food was delicious, and it was a great experience to discover the local life (going to church, visiting the village, drinking kava with locals..). - Really tasty food. We are vegetarian and were always well fed! - The staff are lovely. We left some things there by mistake and they helped get things sent to the next island we stayed at! - They let you use kayaks and snorkel equipment there which is really nice. - You dine with other people in the lodge so you get to meet different people.

Staying in Malakati was an exceptional experience. Locals are incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful. Families took turns in preparing delicious fresh meals 3 times a day. There are many opportunities to explore the island and surrounding areas such as caves, snorkeling, diving, fishing, and hiking as well as learn about Fijian culture. I would recommend this picturesque village for real travelers who are ready to experience Fijian everyday life. I am hoping to return soon.
