We had an absolutely fantastic time at this cozy holiday house! The amenities were superb, and the highlight was definitely the wonderful jacuzzi—a perfect way to relax after a hiking trip. Perfect to explore the Vagar island. The host was incredibly attentive and friendly, always ensuring we had everything we needed. The charming decor and warm ambiance made it a truly memorable stay.

Nice place not far from airport. I think it has four bedrooms sharing 2 large bathrooms. Rooms are nice with 2 having views over the water. A handy kitchen is also available. Its about a 5 minute walk to the supermarket and a couple of restaurants. There is also a bus stop close which will take you to the main centres. I'd just like to thank the owner for reimbursing me for my food that the cleaner threw out due to a misunderstanding. It was much appreciated.

Only 5 minutes drive from the airport. Very close to grocery shop. Easy check in with the code for the key box from the owners. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals by ourselves. There is even a communal box where you can access basic cooking needs.

Great location! Amazing view! The hosts are very kind and helpful. The apartment is very clean and cosy . The kitchen is well equipped and has all the necessary amenities. The beds are big and very comfortable. We felt absolutely at home there. A great place to stay, indeed! Highly recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Giljanes Camping, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is absolutely stunning, nestled in the heart of the Faroe Islands with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. It is an ideal spot for those seeking both relaxation and adventure. The facilities at Giljanes Camping are impeccable. Everything was spotlessly clean, from the communal areas to the bathrooms and showers. The campsite is well-maintained, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The kitchen area is spacious and fully equipped, which made meal preparations easy and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional hospitality provided by the owner, Kristjan. He went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcome and at home. His knowledge of the local area and willingness to share tips and recommendations for activities and attractions were invaluable. Kristjan’s warmth and friendliness truly made our stay memorable. Overall, Giljanes Camping is a gem in the Faroe Islands. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a family, or a group of friends, this campsite offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, comfort, and exceptional service. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the Faroe Islands. One more thing to add is that I wasn’t able to say my final thank-you to the owner, so I’ll have to plan another trip to the Faroe Islands soon!

A very convenient location when arriving by air from...

A very convenient location when arriving by air from overseas. Just a few minutes' drive from the airport, its' a great base to get your bearings. The town has adequate grocery shopping and a petrol station and is convenient for exploring Gasadalur as well as crossing over to Streymoy and beyond.
