This place was a little gem!! Totally gorgeous old fashioned yet modern take on a French boutique type hotel. It was beautiful. The staff were friendly and super helpful, the rooms were great sizes, everything was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a room on the top floor with huge windows that looked out over the local area which was beautiful. Breakfast in the morning was fresh bread, croissants, preserves, cereals and the best coffee! Loved our stay and will defo be going back!

Romain gave us such a warm welcome and made a one night overnight stay very special. The house is bright, very clean and comfortable. The house is in a quiet area, with very peaceful views over the fields but not far from the town centre. We travel a lot but it is always lovely when a host makes an extra effort. Romain made us a wine cocktail for our arrival and made us very nice pancakes and waffles. He gave us lots of suggestions for local places and restaurants and I know that nothing would be too much effort for him. Next time we are in the area, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Abbeville is a hidden French gem, close to everything . Near beaches, war memorials ( battle of the Somme ) chateau's to see and the shopping is great. People are friendly. Lots of money has poured into Picardie due to Macron and this being his home area. Paris is close and so is Amiens and its canals and catherdrals. Abbeville has stunning old streets and houses and beautiful Catherdral. A well kept secret

We've come many times and usually for a short stay, but the city is a not untypical French location - part historic part very (post WW2) modern. It has good places to stay and at least a couple of pleasant dining locations. We have to spend more than three days so I cant talk about a longer stay. If your interested in WW2 history there are interesting things to see.

The property has been renovated to a very high standard and it is beautiful and very comfortable. The grounds are stunning and we dipped our toes in the pool which was very warm. There is an assortment of cute animals who are all very friendly. There is private parking and it’s just a very short walk into the centre of town. Eric and his wife were incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast is included and there was an extensive choice, including five different breads and home made jams. We were just sad we were only staying one night and will definitely return for a longer stay

Lovely Church and walk by canal and River. Great traditional cafe visit Chez Jules’s but remember to speak the Lingu Franca and try the salted peanuts with an oragina and Perrier for the real Francophile experience!

The cathedral is well worth a visit.

The cathedral is well worth a visit. We walked along the river Somme and that was very nice! As for the restaurants we recommend Le petit Bistro (15 Pl. Max Lejeune, 80100 Abbeville). Good beef, pommes and salad for a good price.

We stopped overnight on our journey south, went out for a bit of a snoop and discovered a historic town sadly decimated twice by world wars but sensitively rebuilt (twice) to be a lovely place to visit before continuing our road trip

this is a beautifully restored former convent. Set in wonderful gardens with a heated swimming pool there are many extra touches such as linen sheets and beautiful towels in the bathroom . The range of food offered for breakfast was greater than anywhere we stayed on our trip through France , Belgium and Holland. This hotel is excellent value for money , we would have to pay far more if staying in similar in the U.K. We will definately stay there again if in the area.

Convenient location just off the motorway. Once you get to the hotel, behind the clinic/hospital, it is really nicely situated. We had a great meal in the restaurant and there is a bar and a terrace for drinks. Highly recommend this hotel as a first stop after arriving in France.
