Super chilled and comfy place with a special atmosphere. If you want to switch off and relax, come out here. If you love Cognac and good food, likewise. And the two lovely hosts might have some surprising things to tell you, too. We were only there for a night on the way through, but thought this was a real gem we plan to come back for in the future for a longer time.

Lovely welcome. Interesting and different hotel. Lovely room, very quiet even though it was in a central location. Easy walk to the River Charente. Easy parking. We had an enjoyable meal in the hotel's restaurant nearby. Breakfast very good. Overall a lovely and pleasant experience.

This is a beautiful property. The grounds are spectacular. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The restaurant food is excellent but some travellers may find it too expensive. There is an exceptional cognac collection !

We had a fantastic stay at this B&B. Allison gave us a warm welcome, and the place was cozy and clean. The homemade breakfast was delicious and really added to the experience. We felt completely at home – or even better! The location is perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s right by the river, making it the ideal spot to relax and recharge. We left feeling refreshed and would definitely recommend it!

Our hosts, Véronique and Joseph, welcomed us with good hospitality, humour and ease. The house and garden are beautiful and full of character, and our room was furnished with interesting ornaments, furniture and books. We enjoyed our conversations with our hosts, including during a shared breakfast outside with them and other guests, where we enjoyed home made jams, good coffee and fresh bread. We learned a little about life in the area. Our stay here was the highlight of our two-week cycling and rail trip around the Charente and La Rochelle. Great value too. And safe overnight storage for our bikes.

Breakfast was very nice with fresh home made juice and coffee. Delicious bread. Only thing I missed was some cheese, there was only sweet jam, which was very good, but some good french cheese would make it perfect :-)

    We had a lovely one night stay on our way south but would happily stay longer. The property has been beautifully restored and furnished and we also enjoyed a wonderful evening meal cooked by Jesmond. Great hosts and a marvellous place to stay.

    Stunning B&B in the beautiful cognac region.

    Stunning B&B in the beautiful cognac region. Property has been thoughtfully and lovingly restored by the fab hosts who made us (and our two young kids) feel very welcome. Pool and surroundings were gorgeous and had a delicious evening meal at local riverside pop up at the Geo Ferme round the corner. Lovely, comfy room and a great breakfast! All in all a fabulous, restful and relaxing stay. Could definitely have stayed longer than our one night!

    We ate at the property as there are no restaurants which are walkable. the food was amazing cooked by Jesmond a chef for over 30 years. a car is definitely needed to visit Cognac and wine tasting in the area. It's a very quiet hamlet surrounded by vineyards and the river and canals so very pretty.
