Laid back, peaceful break. Public transport links aren't as good this far up the island, but I managed to get about quite adequately. The little patisserie in the middle of the town is great. Great choice of restaurants catering for all tastes. Chez Remi, Ars en Re tremendous with an extensive fish menu. La Cabane de la Patache, Les Portes en Re is a lovely restaurant on the beach, booking essential. Excellent cycle hire in Ars en Re, 'Balade & Vu' run by very helpful people, unless you have experience riding an electric bike stick to a traditional bike as the island is very flat and easy to cycle. The hotel is very well located, right on the cycle path and just 10m by bike from Ars. There is a beach just across the road with good swimming options at high tide.
