Everything was excellent, we wish we knew in advance how nice it is, we would have stayed an extra day or two. Also make sure you dine at the small outdoor restaurant down by the river called La Capitainerie. Amazing food and wonderful owners who run it.

Jean Louis was so welcoming and helpful. The gite was fitted out so well, lovely features and all provided was high quality , lovely crockery , glasses etc. there was an air conditioner in bedroom as temperatures reached mid 30s and felt it! We loved exploring this area of Loire. Beaugency and Meung Sur Loire especially .

    Baccon is a tiny village in the country.

    Baccon is a tiny village in the country. We enjoyed the peace, quiet, and beauty at the chateau where we stayed, then went into the nearby small town of Beaugency to explore and have dinner. There are several restaurants and some historic sights (a Roman tower, a chateau) there. Charming and definitely off the usual tourist track.
