Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Water didn't work in the allocated room. The receptionist went to great lengths to try to resolve the problem, before it was realised that the issue was village wide and not just the room. Very good breakfast.

We felt like we were transported to another time and place! Truly Magical! The garden so beautiful with views over the little village and the Dordogne river immediately below, the Castle immediately above, hot air balloons at dusk and a well equipped kitchen for us to cook the amazing local duck dishes! Our beautiful and attentive host Martine and owner Frederique, always so quick to reply with suggestions and helpful tips. And thankyou Martine for arranging our car space and greeting us on arrival and farewelling on our last 🙏🏻💖 a truly magical week of kayaking the Dordogne, exploring chateaus and incredible gardens, relaxing afternoons in the garden enjoying an aperitif and the beautiful endless twilight! I stayed here with my partner for 4 nights in September as part of an anniversary trip. Start to finish everything here was flawless! It's the best of both worlds -- the attention and services of a hotel with the comfort and relaxed setting of an apartment rental. Service: We were greeted immediately in the parking lot and given a tour of the room and facilities. Before your stay you get access to their guest portal where you can instant message staff, book things like massage, meals, etc.l The guest portal has guides to your room and recommendations for the area, all at your fingertips. They have guides in English for literally everything, e.g. how to work the towel heater or dish washer in your room. Such attention to detail! They also had a hand written note in our room welcoming us. Check-in and check-out and payments were a breeze, there is no key -- your door is locked by a key pad. Everyone we encountered at the spa and wine bar were so nice. Shout outs to the woman (sorry I didn't catch her name) who gave us a free taste of walnut liquor at the bar to try. Room: We were in room 201 which was perfect for us because it is private and away from the other rooms. It was very quiet and conveniently located next to one of the pools. There is a small outdoor seating area which we enjoyed. Everything is immaculately clean and modern with comforts of home. The design of the kitchen and decor in general is really beautiful and minimalist chic. TV had many international channels to enjoy, plus there is chrome cast. The kitchenette was perfect for us because there are no restaurants walking distance and 2 of the nights we were tired from sightseeing and didn't feel like going out for dinner. So instead we could buy groceries (there is a Carrefour 8 mins drive away and every day of the week one of the nearby towns has a market) and eat in our room.

Hidden gem. Almost hesitant to give it a good review because no doubt prices will skyrocket next season. They act as a hotel d’etappe, but you can easily spend a week here to explore the region. Which I did. Staff are friendly, pools (!) are perfect, grounds extremely well kept. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. All in all a bit thumbs up from me and I will return.

    One full day would have been enough to see Beynac and walk to Castlenaud and back - two nights in the apartment would thus have been enough for me. BUT - if you have a car, and family, there is a lot to do and the town is much less crowded than Sarlat.

    Apart from Beynac-et-Cazenac is so beautiful and interesting place to stay there are lots of other things to do and see, such as visiting castles, hiking, taking a boat on a river, canoeing and just visiting other nice little towns and villages with an excellent views! You can easily stay there 2 weeks and it’s still may not be enough to visit all spectacular places around.

    We visited Beynac in the middle of the summer holidays, it was as if hell had broken loose, so many people, so many cars, buses and so on. Besides that it is a wonderful destination, next time we will try to avoid the 'high season'.

    It was a beautiful small town to relax in and there were also some lovely attractions. The Beynac Castle was the highlight and many chateaux are in the area. There were enough small shops and restaurants to visit and all in all it was a lovely stay. We were there for 3 nights but could have spent longer in the area.

    Beynac is a nice base for exploring the majestic Dordogne region. La-Roque-Gageac, Castelnaud, Domme, and Sarlat are all within 10 km or so, and Beynac itself is a lovely riverside village. You can't go wrong just about anywhere in the Dordogne, but you can definitely go *right* in Beynac.

    Amazing location at the bottom of a castle with a river across the road. Simple and recently renovated rooms, clean and comfy. Staff were great, helpful and friendly. The restuarant (La Petite Tonnelle) just up from the hotel was the only one open (off season), it was a lovely little place - highly reccomend

    Small room and the shower is tiny, no tea or coffee facilities in the room but it's clean, comfortable, the staff are friendly and you wont find a better village to stay in. Stunningly beautiful amd the hotel is situated in great location
