Bonniuex is the most beautiful and lively of all the towns in this region. Loved our stay in Bonnieux... it was a lovely friendly village with all amenities but not too busy. Good markets and some nice shops and ,restaurants. We hired bikes one day and rode around the Luberon. It was a great base for visiting other towns in Provence including Lourmarin, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, St Remy/Les Baux-de-Provence. Bonnieux is a lovely typical town in Provence up on a hill with stunning views. Get up to the old church for sunset. Amazing. St Andre best restaurant in town and Bonnieux Coiff great hairdresser - lovely kind staff who make you feel at ease. Rooftop bar bit odd with big security on the door- was a bit out of keeping for a pizza place? Roads narrow and busy so try not to drive. Facilities were good & even though it is a small kitchenette we were able to cook up some good meals. Lovely views from the balcony. Location is fantastic, a short walk down to the village.
