Loved our stay in Bonnieux... it was a lovely friendly village with all amenities but not too busy. Good markets and some nice shops and ,restaurants. We hired bikes one day and rode around the Luberon. It was a great base for visiting other towns in Provence including Lourmarin, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, St Remy/Les Baux-de-Provence. Bonnieux is a lovely typical town in Provence up on a hill with stunning views. Get up to the old church for sunset. Amazing. St Andre best restaurant in town and Bonnieux Coiff great hairdresser - lovely kind staff who make you feel at ease. Rooftop bar bit odd with big security on the door- was a bit out of keeping for a pizza place? Roads narrow and busy so try not to drive. Situated in the heart of Bonnieux, so we could walk around everywhere. Super friendly owner and accommodated. We stayed for three nights and travelled easily to Gordes, Roussillon, Loumarin, La Coste and a nice lunch at Aix. Most reachable within about 30 mins.
