Great place to stay - 3 floors, 2 bathrooms and big terrace at the 1st floor. One bedroom is located on the groundfloor, it has a shower in the room and the WC outside the room; the livingroom is on the 1-st floor (kitchen, dining area and sofa). Sofa could be transformed into the sleeping place for two people. Terrace is at this level - with sunbeds, dining zone and sitting area. The second bedroom is on 2-nd floor, very spacious and bright, with own shower and WC. The house is super clean, you have all facilities you need in the kitchen. The beds are comfortable, the linen clean and fresh. Welcome gift (bottle of champagne) was great - special thanks for that and for the opportunity of earlier entry (14:30 instead of 16-17:00). Parking place is available just opposite the house, the host provided us with clear instructions. The village itself is very quiet. There is a possibility of wine testing provided by host - we did not use it only because we already booked it at another place. Would gladly come back and definitely recommend this nice house for your stay in Champagne region!

We loved our stay at Gites des Sablons! Clara, our host, was very welcoming on arrival. An enjoyable and relaxing couple of days in a beautifully considered gite! The apartment was well presented and clean, with the communal landscaped garden area, great for relaxing in the evenings. This quiet location was a perfect base from which to explore the champagne region by car. We recommend to visit and would love to return in the future!

The appartment is connected to the house of the hosts. It has nice terraces in the back and in the front. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The appartment is new and fully equipped. View from the rear terrace is amazing. The village is tiny, quiet, away from roads in the middle of nature, farm land and grape fields. Excellent for walking and biking, if you don't mind a climb. More recreational bikers like us are better off driving to the river first and use the bike path there. Countless champagne makers can be found along the river, most of them open for tasting and buying. Absolute must in the region, of course.

Great location and beautiful setting. Vincent was friendly and helpful and produced a delicious breakfast with produce from the garden. The room was spacious, very clean and had a lovely view of the church. We would have liked to stay longer and hope to return one day.

The property was brand new and very spacious! The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were so comfy. The velux windows had black out blinds for the bedrooms. Good shower too! The Owners were very nice and their daughter spoke very good English.

The house looks brand new on the inside, beautifully renovated. It is immaculate and we loved the icecold complementary bottle of champagne from their own domain. We stayed there with a family during a heatwave and it was great to have thick walls, shutters and a fan in each room. We took our dog and found a great walk just across the bridge, lush green walking/cycling path for miles. We also had a great picknick one evening in the same green area on one of the benches. It was a short drive to Epernay and beautiful winding roads through sleepy villages all around.

    We really enjoyed the accommodation and the sight walk around the area through the beautiful, ancient small village of Châtillon-sur-Marne, which is more than 1000 years old. Nearby attractions (statue of Pope Urban II, beautiful views from the hill, picturesque surroundings).

    Chatillon-sur-Marne is a small village. Be sure to get your own cycles, if you want to explore more. It is a quiet place. So visit the local supermarket and keep yourself well-supplied. There are places to eat as well, but you would need to take your vehicle.
