Very welcoming and helpful man on reception when we arrived on our bikes. Garaged our bikes for us and gave us a cold drink then helped us carry our panniers to the room. Took our drink bottles, washed, filled and refrigerated them till next morning. Breakfast good and good value. A nice overnight stay on our cycle trip along the Velo Francette.

Great location and nice spacious property, with two french doors overlooking the river and the market place in a charming little town. The owners are very helpful and thoughtful. There's a good open plan kitchen, with a dining table and sofa area. It's a charming property and we felt very welcomed there.

An attractive town with good shopping facilities; we had the...

An attractive town with good shopping facilities; we had the usual problem of finding an open restaurant, mid-week, out-of-season. We were there to visit the Refuge de l'arche at Chateau Gontier. This is a refuge for animals rescued from smugglers, laboratories and people keeping illegal exotic pets. I strongly recommend it as an excellent organisation and a fascinating half-day visit.

Great location close to the centre of Craon, yet peaceful. Amazing buildings - our accommodation was in a gite in the grounds of the main house. It was too cold to use the outdoor pool, but it would be wonderful in summer with a large garden too. Chantal was an amazing hostess, providing a superb breakfast (including delicious scrambled egg, fresh bread and cheese). It was lovely to meet fellow guests over breakfast. Free parking was easily available nearby. A quirky, unusual and memorable stay!
