The Fortress is a must-see.
The Fortress is a must-see. We only discovered it by accident, but had we been there longer, would have planned for a full day visit. You can partake in various ancient traditions and have great souvenirs from your trip with something you made yourself. Great for kids or adults. There are translations in other languages available in case you don't understand fluent French. The guide is extremely entertaining if you do understand the language though!Guest review byMarea - 10

However what is not clear from the website is there are 3 buildings. The main building although tired is beautiful. The other two are dark, poorly furnished and smell damp. The bathrooms need to be replaced. The junior suite we had purchased was NOTHING LIKE the website. When we objected even the staff were embarrassed by showing us equally poor rooms. The rooms are well designed as is the restaurant - the breakfasts have been consistently good over the years we have visited. Last time we stayed, we were disappointed with the restaurant but this time it was back to excellent form! We normally stick with hotels, but this was a guesthouse. The room was lovely, twin beds (sadly) but every aspect was very agreeable.
