The apartment was fantàstic, right in the center of the City with all the commodities needed to spend a perfect 3 day trip in Nantes. The beds were super comfortable and it was supplied with all the necessary things. The personal in the reception are really nice and helped us with every question and necessity. The way they modernized a piece of history is incredible. A really nice stay, clean, comfortable rooms, nice and helpful staff on top of a high quality breakfast. The location is also an advantage, having just to cross Jardin des plantes (just wonderful) and you get to the City Center. All in all, highly recommend this place if you find yourself in Nantes.

The room was comfortable, it's just a bed, but with a large bathroom. It was what we expected from reading the reviews, but didn't expect the bathroom to be so big which was a plus. It was also about a 15 minute tram or bus from the city which is just outside the door of the hotel. Transport is also free in Nantes during Saturday's and Sunday's which is nice. They have a night service for the tram on the weekend till 3am or so which was nice, besides that we took a uber back to the hotel when we were in the city past 12am which only cost around 10 euro. The restaurant also had delicious pizza, it seems to be a very popular restaurant in which the hotel is located in. So, it will be slightly noisy from 12-2pm and 7-10pm which didn't bother us as we were outside anyway. You will need to book the restaurant on Google maps if you wish to get a table as they seem to be pretty much fully booked every time they open. They also offered an iron and hairdryer on request which my girlfriend appreciated. We would come back!

Gateway to the Loire Valley

Easygoing and green in both senses of the word, Nantes is the gateway to the Loire Valley. On a delta between the Loire, Erdre and Sèvre rivers, this once important port is now an innovation pioneer.

A former shipyard, the Île de Nantes in the Loire now houses bars, clubs and restaurants. However, its most intriguing feature is the Machines of the Isle of Nantes, a collection of weird and wonderful mechanical sculptures – you can even take a ride in the elephant.

Across the river is the moat-surrounded Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne, a fortified castle and former home of Breton Dukes. A few streets away is Nantes Cathedral, whose façade is reminiscent of the one in Reims. Place du Bouffay in the historic centre is home to many restaurants and bars, while 19th-century shopping centre Passage Pommeraye houses a range of stores over 3 grand levels. For a taste of daily life head to Talensac market.

Other Nantes attractions are the Japanese garden at Île de Versailles in the Erdre, the former shipowners’ houses at Île Feydeau, and the Jules Verne Museum, celebrating the city’s most famous son.

Nantes is a lovely city with a lovely river and waterfront. Many places to eat although a lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays. A young, vibrant city. Tram and bus service is amazing. Many great places outside of Nantes easily accessible by train. If you like steak then L,'entricote is a perfect spot. Mechanical elephant ride is fun.

Lovely clean city.

Lovely clean city. Easy to get around on foot and/or public transport. Wide range of restaurants, cafes are bars, some a little pricey and some don't offer menus in alternative languages. All-in-all, a delightful city for a short stay.

A beautiful city in every sense of the word. It's not too big - you can walk to most places. It's handy for the airport, the walks and gardens are great and the bars and cafes are charming. Even the people are elegant! I would definitely go again

There is lots to see and learn about Nantes.

There is lots to see and learn about Nantes. If you are interested in history Nantes has plenty. You can spend a day in the Chateau just looking at its history. Would have liked more time to explore the wine areas and their muscadet.

We had 3 nights here which felt just right.

We had 3 nights here which felt just right. We did a walking tour on day 1 and the following day we visited Les Machines de I’ll. On our final day we walked around le Jardin des Plantes. We had lots of good food and drink along the way and would definitely recommend Chez Maman for good food and quirky decor. Worth noting that public transport is free at weekends!

Beautiful city with so much to do. Walking distance from one attraction to another but good tram links. Reasonable prices for food and drink and every to everything. Would recommend the Nantes Pass. I got a 3 day for €47 and used it to the value of €122 so great savings. It includes the Airport shuttle bus at €10 each way, a great service. Drop off locations are very central.

Had a lovely 5 night stay at Petit Erdre. The apartment is as shown on the photos, it is very comfortable and well equipped, with many thoughtful and practical touches. The balcony is a delight on a sunny day. It is brilliantly located with supermarket, boulangerie, tabac and excellent takeaway pizza within minutes. It is well connected on several bus lines which connect to the city centre, and a short walk to the tram. A brilliant place to stay in Nantes!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. It was easy to find, and the reception staff welcomed us warmly in the language of our choice English in our case. The location is amazing, right in the middle of the city centre. The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. Small touches, like complimentary tea and coffee at reception, made our stay even more pleasant. Overall, we give the accommodation and everything related a full 10 out of 10.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station if you are arriving by train to Nantes. A short walk to Nantes' center with several restaurants just around the corner. Rooms are OK with all basic services included. If you have a car, there is outdoor public parking very close to the hotel that is reasonably price (€2.50-€3/night). Just be sure to look for Chateau parking vs. Gare Chateau parking (€20+/night).

New hotel, free flowing water machine including sparkling water in the lobby, cleanliness, friendly staff, close to city centre and train station, coffee machine in room. The lights in the room were individually controllable and the room has a black out curtain. The shower is well thought out in that no water escapes into the room after using it. There is a luggage room.
