Beautifully renovated, tasteful decoration. The owners had thought of many small details. Actually liked having breakfast in the bedroom (and I think the breakfast has been improved since earlier comments), was cosy and private to eat in the room, with nice views of the fields. The stay was good value for money (in a more exciting part of France, this chateau would be much more expensive).

Excellent wide ranging breakfast with boiled egg and even home made chocolate cake on this occasion.. Large property.Very well appointed large bedroom and bathroom. . Comfortable large bed. Well equipped modern kitchen (needed as we found local restaurants closed on Sunday evening) but no chairs so food needed to be taken to bedroom or adjacent lounge.

Nantua is set on a beautiful lake in a perfect setting. There is a great bar/restaurant beside the lake where you can while away an evening and watch the sun go down with a beautiful sunset over the lake. There are lovely walks and the town feels very peaceful.

Lovely hotel overlooking the lake. Our room was well-equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, although coffee came from a machine. Dog friendly … and good walks from the doorstep. The location is its selling point; it’s at the quiet end of the lakeside road, yet it takes just a few minutes to walk into the town. This is our second stay and we shall certainly return.

Nantua is a stunning location. The lake is a picture and the hotel rooms facing the lake (at a slightly higher price-but worth paying) have a view second to none. The restaurant also enjoys this aspect across the lake, as one enjoys the excellent food. We have now stayed here for three years and look forward to returning.

Good room. Restaurant was a pleasant experience, though service was initially a little slow. Location of the hotel could not be better. This is somewhere that we want to return to for a longer stay.
