All visitors should research Carte Sud Azur as covers trams, buses and trains for duration you choose to pay for. Marc Chagall Museum not to be missed and only a 7 min walk from main train station. I was in Nice for the second time, this time my destination was Monte-Carlo and Cannes. What I really don't like is that there were a lot more tourists compared to the end of October than at this time last year. We loved Nice, it's a really vibrant place and close to Monaco and you just have to visit the medieval town of Eze. It's a place to see once but probably wouldn't go back there. It's quite busy and larger than I imagined. Patisseries are superb especially one or two streets behind the main boulevard and towards the harbour part of town. Nice is a beautiful town, one of the cleanest and friendliest in the area. All the restaurants are great, we stayed in the port area this time and it was a much quieter area but equally as nice as the old town area. So much to see and the beauty was well worth the visit. Nice is a perfect place to stay to explore all along the Cote d Azur. The trains were very simple and traveled all the way along the coast.
