Everything! The property is located in a quiet village within easy reach of Carcassonne, Limoux and the many surrounding villages. Our room was cool, comfortable, impeccably clean and very well decorated room with a great bed that made for an excellent night’s sleep after exploring the area. The inclusion of teas and homemade cookies was a lovely touch. The bathroom was large and had a great shower. We had home made breakfast each morning and our hosts, Jean-Francois and Claude, both catered for and entertained us. Sorry to leave, and looking forward to returning.

A pleasant hotel with friendly staff. It is appealing because everything here is authentic, offering a comfortable, unpretentious lifestyle. It feels like staying with a beloved aunt. The food is delicious, and the water in the well-maintained pool is clean and cool, making you feel alive and genuine. The old park, also known as the golf course, where you can stretch your legs after a day's travel, was also impressive.

Fatiha is a miracle. She is not just a host, she is an angel who looks after you and takes care of you from the moment you arrive until you leave. I am sorry that there is no 15 rating because 10 does not express what this place deserves. I have been travelling for many, many years, several times a year, so I have seen it all. You will only experience the kindness and care that you receive here in very few places. I could talk about the accommodation, the size of the bathroom, how comfortable the bed is, but you can find these qualities elsewhere, it is the personality of the host and the atmosphere of the place that makes the difference. I arrived from Andorra and unfortunately I was quite late, I arrived sometime after midnight. (I apologize for the delay.) I received the instructions for the auto-check-in, but Fatiha came out to meet me at the parking lot and showed me to my accommodation. Otherwise, I would have waited a while to find the entrance at night. So that was a big help. There are flowers all the way to the accommodation, well-groomed roses on the stairs leading to the entrance, you can smell them all the way up. But that sets the mood. The room is spacious enough, you have your own refrigerator, the bed is comfortable, the room is well equipped, the bathroom is spacious and has everything. I liked the little sofa next to the bed, where you can put your bag or even sit on it when you arrive. The furnishings have this mixed East-West feel, I really liked that too. And then there's another great thing. You don't need a kitchen, because Fatiha will cook for you if you ask. The menu is also available on a website, which is where I chose it. You shouldn't miss it! I went to Marrakech last year, tasted a lot of local food, in different restaurants, but nowhere did I eat as delicious as what Fatiha made for me. And you have to try her cakes too!

Everything was fantastic. Location less than 10 minutes drive to the town and the castle. Safe parking available in the house. The room was very nice and quiet, spotless and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast fresh, delicious and abundant.A great stay for us. We highly recommend this place.

Breakfast quite ok. Our host and hostess very friendly and spoke good english which is our native language. The old converted barn refurbished to a high standard. La Sauzette is some kilometres from town but it is in a lovely rural setting.
