Very historical site . Town Centre: Quaint streets, traditional French cafés, bakeries, and small boutiques give the town a cozy, authentic vibe. The Saturday market is vibrant and a perfect spot for local produce and regional specialties. Bergerie Nationale: Originally established by Napoleon, this national sheepfold is now a working educational farm. Great for families and those interested in sustainable agriculture or animal husbandry. Rambouillet Forest (Forêt de Rambouillet): One of the largest forests near Paris, it’s a paradise for hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers. Wildlife, well-marked trails, and serene lakes make it a great escape from city life.

It is great location to stay with the car, so you can choose...

It is great location to stay with the car, so you can choose directions to different areas by car. (We travelled to north-east places, Giverny, Abbey, and to the south Chambord, Blois) There is also train station, but we didn't used it, but it should be nice point if you want to go to Paris. Rambouillet center is not so interesting as it looks French restaurants, which are not "fast foods" working very small period of times, afternoon, and then in evening.

This is a lovely compact house- downstairs the kitchen/ living and dining area is all one and big enough for 4 although we were out most days 😀 the bedrooms were spacious and very nice- it was very hot while we were there and on request Marie provided 2 fans which was great. Everything was very clean- it's a 10/15 minute walk to the station or into town which meant we hardly used the car! Rambouillet is a lovely town with great restaurants and bars and very easy to get to Paris or the chateau of versailles.

I booked this hotel for my director and he said it completely exceeded his expectation. He needed to charge his electric car and Nothing was too much to ask. What made it exceptional was the staff (every single one that he dealt with). They were incredibly friendly, helpful and super kind. Blew him away as this is not normally what we get in a lot of the hotels he stays at in that area. Will definitely be going back
