Vincent and his wife were spectacular hosts. The daily breakfast that Vincent prepared was restaurant quality! His crepes were to die for and there was choices of fruit, yogurt and pastries galore.

If I could give this hotel 6 stars out of 5, I would! It was wonderful. The room (suite) was enormous. It had large windows on all sides overlooking the beautiful estate. The renovations were recent and extremely well done. The bathroom was large, clean, and with fantastic water pressure. Great shower! The staff were welcoming and very helpful. There were massage and spa facilities, so I wished we had stayed longer. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. The location was stunning, a few kilometres from Bayeux in a tiny village on a country property, that you could walk around. I absolutely loved this hotel and hope that I will be able to visit again.

The location of Villa Lara was perfect! There were several restaurants and historic landmarks within easy walking distance. The staff was incredible. The owner took us on a tour of the city which was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is also in a perfect location to meet tour companies for the Normandy WWII tours. Outstanding stay!

The location is superb. The grounds are magnificent. We stayed two nights and left very reluctantly. We ate in both restaurants and the food and service were superb - particularly in Le Savran. Breakfast was also a gourmet meal and was so generous that we didn’t need lunch. The charming manageress couldn’t have been more helpful and even managed to serve us some lunch when we arrived - even though the kitchen had already closed. Our room was wonderful. In fact it was the best place we stayed on our vacation. They also speak fluent English.

    Bayeux a great place to eat - lots of restaurants.

    Bayeux a great place to eat - lots of restaurants. The Normandy beaches easy to get to and the Omaha Museum is definitely worth a visit. Mont St Michel is 1 hr 30 although we didnt have enough time to visit. A great base and superb accommodation.

    Our favorite Bed and Breakfast stay in years of travel! Just delightful beginning with the welcoming owners, who met us at the front gate and guided us to the free parking next to their gorgeous gardens. Their home has been tastefully restored with lovely art pieces throughout the house and gardens. Everything was spotlessly clean! The bedroom has a large comfortable bed and spacious attached bathroom. The house is very convenient to Bayeux and the Normandy beaches. And they gave us helpful information and books to use to see these sights. We would love to return to stay with them again!

    St Martin is a rural community right next to Bayeux.

    St Martin is a rural community right next to Bayeux. It was easy to go into town by car. The Bayeux Tapestries are a must see as is the Cathedral and the Normandy D Day museum in town. Lots of places to eat in Bayeux, but none that I saw in St Martins

    Our days were packed and it was so nice to come back to a quit relaxing place for a good nights rest. Then start all over again the next day after a wonderful breakfast. Our host went above and beyond expectations to help us obtain our COVID-19 required test for our return flight. The hardest part was getting to the place with our gps system in the rental car.
