AMAZING! Spacious rooms but living room is magnificent. It gives so much comfort vibes. There were a lot of board games. Amazing view. Kitchen is equipped with absolutely everything: flour, coconut sugar even.. there’s a spa center. Private parking.

Brilliant stay from start to finish. We drove from UK. Stopped and did a weekly shop en-route. The drive isn't bad because Vallorcine is quite low we didn't have to worry about bad road conditions. Parked car in secure underground car park. Collected keys to apartment, collected ski hire from shop adjacent to apartments (make sure you choose the correct shop). Dumped all our stuff in the rooms and the ski equipment in the secure locker room. Bathroom, with seperate toilet and en-suite shower room is very handy. The kitchen is compact, but well equipped (remember to bring filter papers for the coffee machine!) and open plan to the lounge. We moved a couple of chairs into the bedrooms for more space. The balcony if huge, the sound of the river running is lovely. Went for a swim in the pool (magnificent views of mountains), then went for dinner in the restaurant (not great for vegetarians, but the food is very good). Next morning we jumped on the train outside and went to La Poya so the kids could get used to skiing again. They had a 2 hour refresher lesson. After that, we jumped on the bubble lift outside the hotel at 9 every morning and skied excellent pistes until the last bubble back down (the red run return to the hotel was closed). Did this every day. There is a good bakery in the town, couple of decent eateries.

That place is amazing. Located in a small village next to the Chamonix. Perfect for the people who are looking for a not overcrowded place to rest. It has everything you need : delusions foo, beautiful views, professional and nice stuff.

It is a fairy tale accommodation (including a prince-like host). Seriously, this is one of the most beautiful, romantic, cozy and picturesque accommodation in the French Alps. The view to the Mont Blanc from the atmospheric wooden rooms are marvelous. We arrived late and Philippe welcomed us so warmly, treated us to French cheese and a glass of red wine. Great location if you want to visit Chamonix and Swiss as...

Great location if you want to visit Chamonix and Swiss as well. Its 25 min to Mont Blanc and 30 to Martigny (SUI). Its super calm for families, frequent train will take you anywhere, no need to use car. Good if you want to have a calm holiday! In winter for sure great advantage - cablecar next to hotel.

when returning to area, i would probably not stay in...

when returning to area, i would probably not stay in Vallorcine, but in either Chamonix (where all the action is) or even Argentière which has excellent Le Fournil Chamoniard Patisserie (come early, by noon all the great stuff is finished) and grocery store . I found we had to drive out of Vallorcine for everything

Very convenient to be next to the station...didn't need to...

Very convenient to be next to the station...didn't need to use the car during our stay, among other things to go to Chamonix for the Saturday morning market... Starting point for lovely walks...we walked up to the Bérard waterfall, a very nice hike.

The advantage for us is that we have known and come to Vallorcine for years. We know everyone and have forged genuine friendships. We feel right at home here.

Vallorcine itself is quiet.

Vallorcine itself is quiet. You can easily find the hustle and bustle in Schamonix. We were there in early June, and several restaurants were still closed. These reopen in mid-June or later for the summer season.

Very convenient resort. Easy access to the ski lifts. Train station nearby. Beautiful region. But no commercial activity: few shops and few restaurants in Vallorcine. You have to go down to Argentière.

I loved everything about it. We had 3 bedroom apartment and its was easily accessible by the lifts. Underground parking helps when all other cars are snowed in. Spa was lush- swimming pool clean and sauna ok. Shame about opening hours being so short- closes at 8pm- and yes they do kick you out. However good experience anyway
