Top notch service from the minute we drove up. Valet car service, bags to the room, refreshment while you get checked in. Very impressive! Even though we had the smallest room it was big and comfortable. Large bathroom and really nice shower! Had a drink on the back terrace in the evening and that was quite nice way to end the day. All in all we felt we got more then we expected at a very reasonable price.

FAQs about hotels in Bath

Roman Ruins and Georgian Grandeur

Wonderful, World Heritage site Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.

Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.

Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the Avon River overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-level Pulteney Weir and registered historic Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options include Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and brand-name stores on Milsom and George streets.

North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.

Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath hotel, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

    Bath needs to be walked.

Bath needs to be walked. Two days should be enough for the town proper, but it also is the jumping off point for Stonehenge and the Cotswolds. We were there six days, just about right to regenerate from the long flight from the States and see the sights/sites.

Bath is superb for history from Roman time forward, easy to walk around and many historic buildings to visit. Many independent shops, cafes and restaurants in quaint streets. Everything very easy to walk to from Abbey to Royal Crescent. Bath also has many parks to walk and relax in near the centre. Every square had an artist performing, it was very lively and friendly. Rugby is a hot topic in Bath and the pitch is central to everything. Good bus and rail links.

The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The room offered everything you could need, more so than some larger more costly hotels. The staff were awesome. Thanks Tom, Claire, Gi-Gi and Sue. They couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The food/bar facilities were great. Free parking. Transport into the City Centre by bus was right outside the hotel and was just few minutes ride away. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the beautiful City of Bath.

Really good location, very friendly reception staff. The cleaning in the room was not great, expecial in the bathroom. I could see mould and dirt all over the shower wall. Also the spa is not the best, doesn't offer too much and the pool area needs some refurbishment. Is annoying that the kids have limited time to the pool, the weekend we were there I could see lots of children in the hotel, but the time for them is just a few hours.

The rooms were really clean, had great air conditioning and lighting. It was well equipped and in Bath city centre meaning it was close to all shops and attractions in the city. Considering the area and the conditions of the hotel, I would even dare to say that it’s even cheaper than you would think. The staff was friendly and quick to resolve any issue.
