Blandford Forum had a lovely park with a large waterlily pond (would be so amazing to visit this in May or whenever the lilies flower!) and a pleasant river walk . The town had a nice place to have a drink (The Crown Hotel) and a Morrisons which was convenient as well as some coffee shops and small unusual shops. There were some lovely charity shops and the town was a welcome refuge from the more busier places we could have visited. I went to the fashion museum. We are senior citizens and we found it easy to access the town - basically one main road . Evening meals at in Crown Hotel, Italian Restaurant and Steak houses - very satisfactory. Plenty in the area of South Devon to make the most a seven day break. So interesting, and friendly. Fashion museum a real gem, lovely tea room, I could have spent all day there. The main displays change every 2 years and there are always different pop up displays through the year. Be careful to stay around museum opening times though. The keys were in a lock box so easy to collect at a time that suited us. Downstairs was open plan and a nice light room, Upstairs, we just used one of the bedrooms to sleep in and that was fine.
