The attention to detail in the room facilities was commendable. There was everything a guest would need for a very comfortable stay. The list of facilities is too long to describe but notably the room was served with air conditioning, total noise insulation, a very spacious and clean bathroom, coffee machine and tea station, ironing facilities, safety deposit box and most importantly, a very comfortable bed. The location could not be better in Southampton and the night life in the evenings is a pleasure.

The Yacht club is a 2 min walk to the centre of Hambel, with all the restaurants and shops. The rooms are modern and very clean. The next day, I had to go to Mercury Marina to pick up my boat, which was a 15 min walk. The bar was very lively and it has also a large terasse with view on all the boats. The bar in Riverside House is very friendly and does some quite nice cocktails! :)

It was in a great location, easy to walk around to the sights of Southampton and cruise ship terminal across the street. Also a great mature green space right across the street. It had a great fun and unique vibe, clean, modern, funky and vibrant! Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, large bathrooms, good lighting and blackout curtains.

We were in Swanwick Marina working on a newly purchased boat and the hotel was well place to stay in between the two days. Very clean - very friendly and the pub (owned by the same people) was a very excellent location for a high quality straightforward meal after a hard day of work

We chose this hotel to be near the port for a cruise. Our room was great - spacious with room to open both bags, a bath, a fridge, and a Nespresso coffee machine. We were thrilled. We had an executive room, not sure about other options. There is not a lot immediately around the hotel, and we didn't explore much further. The hotel lobby is extremely busy, but the reception manages well. We decided to stay in the hotel for food and drinks, and we were pleasantly surprised. We sat in the bar area, which is very nice and large. Chicken wings for lunch - very good! But fajitas for dinner were amazing! Overall I was very pleased with this property and would choose it again to stay before a cruise. Be careful though, apparently there are a few Leonardo Hotels and a number of people were sent away (nicely) to find the one they had actually booked.

It’s the first time we’ve been to Botley and we thought it was a lovely little village. We would definitely visit there again, especially in the summer. We couldn’t really find anything we didn’t like about it. Otters green was only a five minute walk away

In a nutshell, Otters Green was one of the best b & b's we have stayed in. A comfortable and cosy room, with everything we needed. We could not fault it in any way. The breakfast was tasty and varied, much more than we expected for a continental breakfast. We would recommend the Dolphin pub in Botley for a warm welcome and excellent food.

Perfect place to stay for nature lovers and gardeners . We used it as a stop over before our trip to the I.O.W. allowing us to visit Exbury Gardens and the New Forest. Many more places locally are worth a visit. There were 3 of us Adults occupying the cottage which was comfortable but may be a little compact if more. Many places to eat locally, however, we chose to eat in with food we brought with us on the first night and used the local Chinese to deliver the second day.

Excellent facilities. 2 pubs offering very good food, an Italian restaurant with excellent food although slightly expensive, an Indian restaurant and takeaway, a Chinese takeaway and an expensive Michelin style restaurant. Tea rooms, shops. Everything you need for a short stay. However the road is extremely busy and difficult to cross.

This is a little bit of paradise within a few minutes’ drive of the ferry to the Isle of Wight. It is situated in beautiful gardens, shaded by trees and offers privacy and tranquility in bucket loads. The owner has created something unique and somewhere people would want to come back to again and again. Within walking distance is the sweet little village of Botley which has traditional pubs and pretty buildings. Whether it’s for an overnight stay or somewhere you select to stay for a week, it’s very well placed. For me it was an ideal stop off between the Isle of Wight and The New Forest but I could have stayed there for a much longer period of time because it’s tranquil and a good spot to come back to after exploring the wider area.
