Freshwater is convenient for most of your shopping, There is a nice little store in Brighstone which has good selection of fresh food and basic essentials. There is a pub in Hulverstone which is a reasonable walk in daylight. Close to Farringford, Mottistone and the Needles. Eating out is a drive to Freshwater - The Albion; Yarmouth - The George; Colwell Bay - The Hut; Ventnor - Royal Hotel; Smoking Lobster; London House and Besty & Spinks. Very quiet country area.
Very quiet country area. Sun Inn only a few miles in Hulverston for excellent dining. Lovely NT Mottiston gardens very local. Easy reach of Brook, Compton and Freshwater Bay beaches. The Military Road takes you along the south of the Island and is just a short distance from your accommodation.Guest review byJennifer - 6.0
We booked a room with a double bed that was much too small (...
We booked a room with a double bed that was much too small (our fault). Luckily, Amanda was able to switch us to a larger room with a queen-sized bed. We missed having a shower in either of the bathrooms. Clock House is very convenient to the coast and to a nearby pub and greengrocer. Signage for the house is much more visible going down to the main road than going up so we missed the turn at first.Guest review byBeckyUnited Kingdom
