It’s a great place for families who love beach holidays. It’s also great for those interested in history with all the occupation places to visit. There are plenty of good places to eat. We when to Crabby Jacks which has a varied menu. The local kiosks are also great places for a snack. It’s easy to get around either by car or public transport which is very regular. Castel is a good position for trips to any part of Guernsey, particularly the lovely sandy bays all along the North West coastline. Coastal destinations have kiosks for drinks and toilets for comfort. Cobo bay tearooms are a destination for locals and tourists alike, with traditional Guernsey fare and the most amazing home made cakes. A warm summer evening sitting on the beach with Fish and Chips from Cobo chippie, watching the sunset is paradise!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The hotel is very well situated within lovely grounds and you can be at the coast in just a few minutes. Beautiful beaches with cafes and restaurants are close by. Clean place. Drivers are polite and will stop and let you cross over the road. Buses go round the island 92 . Cost £1.50 pay by card. Or £11 for 2 days and you xan get on and off the buses. Great for walking .Guest review byMicheleUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A MAGNIFICENT hotel. Elegant but not formal; superb staff. Food of the highest standard. A joy to stay there. Castel has a character all of its own. Many brochures seem to steer guests down south, where the roads are impossible and beaches beautiful but not easy to reach. Did not stay in Castel area itself during the day, only for overnight at the hotel. Spent most of time touring round the whole island, visiting all the occupation-related museums, dining for lunch and evening meals in St Peters Port after the first night, Excellent bus service meant there was no need to hire a car.Guest review bysgg3United Kingdom

Room was well equipped for normal weather but very hot at times, AC would have been nice but a fan was of some benefit. The bathroom was clean and shower excellent. Would happily return. Location is beautiful, overlooking looking the bay and the sunset was spectacular.
