Actually, I live in Crewkerne - a very nice place to live, and I recommend it to visitors as its location is excellent for access to both the south coast and the many tourist sites in the area. There is nothing worth visiting at Crewkerne itself in our opinion, but there is a very nice Indian restaurant called the Mint lounge where we ate. Good value and nice and clean. We only stayed there as we were visiting relatives who lived close by. Nice enough town, plenty of shopping places. Handy as a base to explore 30 minutes from the coast. Most eating places are closed early in the week so you need to travel out of town unless you like curry or £30+ per head meals.
