One of my favourite stays! The flat itself is so beautiful, very clean and peaceful. I wish we had more time to just relax and read, but we had commitments. Large bedrooms and comfortable large beds, bath in the rooms, at Pettifers. Food in their restaurant was great. Several areas to sit. Games to play were supplied. However would not recommend for a large group of people as staffing levels in restaurant not high enough. Good sized car park. Quiet rural village close to interesting historic places like Shorncote old medieval church, Cirencester Roman site & museum, Lacock Abbey (a 40 min drive) and lovely little pubs. You'd need a car or careful checking of public transport routes, lovely area for cycling around the lakes & lots of little cafes there (daytime & weekends). All the staff in this hotel are super friendly! We brought our spaniel and they couldn't have been more welcoming to her, she even got her own sausage at breakfast! The room was clean and comfy and a perfect base for us to head out and explore. The Indian restaurant was amazing!
