I was with a group of people and we explored many of the surrounding places. Fantastic walking country and amazing scenery. Lots of history around there also, We had good meals in both the Buckley Arms Hotel and the Llew Coch. I stayed at the Buckley Arms which was clean, comfortable and quite luxurious! If you haven't got a car the only way to get to Dinas Mawddwy is to catch the school bus from Machynlleth at 3.35 pm. The village is ‘off the beaten track’.
The village is ‘off the beaten track’. It’s quiet with friendly locals in a good community cafe and pub The surrounding scenery is very green and rural with ancient pathways, woods and lovely views. There’s a good choice of walking routes. The car park is free and a good starting point for the walks. The village is a good base to explore nearby towns- Dolgellau and the coast and Machynlleth with its shops and art gallery.Guest review byBarbaraUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The farm was easy to find.
The farm was easy to find. Parking was easy enough even though we had 2 cars between us. It's fairly remote and no shops nearby so take what you need with you. The nearest town Machynlleth is around 20 minutes away but has minimal shops. This is not a criticism. The nearby Red lion pub serves excellent food and drink. The staff are very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our evenings there. There are plenty of places to visit within an hours drive of the farm and the roads are good quality and safe. The fixtures and fittings in the farm are first rate, no tired furniture there. I'm sure the Farmer told me that his son is a qualified carpenter and this shows.
