Ideal location, garden, hosts lovely. Janice is a very experienced host as evidenced from the extras in the property; provided an allergen free hamper. Dog friendly and cosy, thick cob walls, decor in keeping with the age. On the first floor the bedroom fresh & bed was comfortable. Outdoor living equally spoilt, parasol, choice aspects at table in morning sun, L shape sofa in afternoon sun over well stocked garden & water feature & escape to the shade bistro rattan at the back door against an old stone wall cascading red berries so pretty. The cottage is attached to the hosts home & side entrance through a side gate, it was very private and their presence welcoming, always smiling & relaxed. It was a charming experience & look forward to seeing them again.

This is an amazing little hideaway. Beautiful views, and all so well thought out with stylish interiors. Great use of space inside the huts with everything you would need. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. Our two children are 9 and 13 and managed fine in the bunk beds. They loved staying here and lit the outdoor fire both nights. We had gorgeous weather and used the bbq and outdoor space alot. We were so lucky to be one of the first customers at the Roost. Great and useful communication from the hosts. I’m sure this place will be booked up very quickly. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The Boathouse is fantastic! Recently refurbished to a very high standard. Very clean. Very comfortable, all mod cons provided. Exceptionally friendly and helpful host made us feel instantly at home. Perfect stay for a couple with a dog. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

There was a generous welcome basket and fresh flowers waiting in the Lodge for us, it was beautiful and peaceful, we couldn't have had a nicer stay, we will be back.

    It was spotless.

    It was spotless. The corner location shown in the picture suggested it might be busy, but the little village is quiet, tranquil, very pretty and the local people very friendly. There was a lovely welcome pack, and the owner (who was easy to contact) kindly accommodated us with our specific requirements. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. There is enough crockery and cutlery to use with the dishwasher! And plenty of cooking equipment. The cottage was very modern and the hard floors downstairs made easy living, especially with a dog because we could confine him to the kitchen. The garden was self contained and safe for the dog. There are walks locally - perfect for dog walking. For someone who doesn’t like to go back to the same place twice, well, I’d like to. We stayed as a tag on to a weeks holiday and it was the icing on the cake.
