Do you research before you arrive so you have options for rainy days as well as indoor activities. Check opening seasons as well as many places close for the cooler months, and a lot of places now require online booking at timed allocations to ease congestion. Explore the country parks, beaches, historical English Heritage and National Trust properties, or take a train to London for the day and explore some of the amazing historical places and shops.
