Excellent family room. The staff made it though. Gay and Chris were so helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and it was a shame we were only there for one night.

We arrived early and were welcomed. The weather was awful - Middleham had had a good downfall of snow overnight, albeit a little early. We enjoyed a drink in the bar area whilst our room was ready. Our room was spotlessly clean, with an excellent view of Middleham Castle. We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink in the bar where we met Fiona - the proprietor. What a lovely lady. Our meal was excellent - could not be faulted. After a restful night's sleep, we were delighted to see that the snow has disappeared. Breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. It certainly set us up for the rest of today - Sunday 24th. Very nice to see the race horses being exercised. Fiona explained that Middleham is the Newmarket of the North - many riding stables in the area. Another visit is a MUST. Next time we will take our dog with us to meet Fiona!!

Stayed overnight on New Years Eve. Absolutely delicious meal in the pub, very high quality. Pub was busy with a good atmosphere. Room was recently renovated and was lovely. Comfy bed, clean room and good facilities. Breakfast was good, served by a lovely friendly lady. Can't fault anything.

Very homely and a wonderful respite from the winter storm. A log fire, home cooked food and a pint of Leyburn brewery pale ale. What more could you want but it was followed with a cooked breakfast with bacon to die for.

Fabulous Community owned pub. Room was bright and airy, comfy bed, lovely bathroom. Bar was a typical old fashion pub, with the staff and locals very friendly. Dinner and breakfast were both wonderful. Would highly recommend staying here

we had the most amazing stay here. from the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. free upgrade to a beautiful room which was absolutely stunning. felt immediately relaxed and could have stayed for days. beautiful log fire for winter and lovely outdoor space for summer. the food was exceptional and huge portions. everyone who worked there was so attentive. breakfast the next day was such high quality and all our thanks to the owner. a great stay and we will be recommending to our friends and retuning soon.
