A very comfortable room in a lovely cosy house. The bathroom is shared, but it was very clean and nice. Veen was a wonderful host, and she cooked us a lovely breakfast before we set off to fly the next morning. The neighbourhood was quiet and felt very safe.

A little bit out of the way but will be better next time now that I now where it is. Cheap to get to via public transport with a short walk near the end. Shuttle bus back to the airport worked well.

Everything was great ! I mean more than enough ! Quite clean room, nice size of bathroom, various and quality breakfast option, positive attitude of hotel staff. We would definitely come back when we flight from Gatwick. I wish I could explain more than this but can't find correct words that I can explain how good it was ! Just perfect 10/10. On our way back home we had a car accident and had to find a hotel near Gatwick Airport to travel home by plane the next day. We didn't want to stay in a real airport hotel, after the shock we wanted to find a nice countryside hotel where we could relax a bit. I searched for the 'best rated hotel' in the area and Stanhill Court hotel came up first and I already loved the pictures. I booked it just an hour in advance. When we came in we were very impressed by the decor. It looked like it was just renovated but also had lovely authentic details. We had the last 2 rooms and were so happy! We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant 1881, with to our astonishment very decent prices! There was a wedding party, but the music wasn't till late and didn't bother us. In the morning breakfast was nice with enough choice. The area is very nice and the views of the countryside are lovely. It felt like a surprise we had found this little gem! Really thinking about going back.
