Great view to the canal (not sure if this is something you can choose or if it's random, but we luckily got stunning view) Price was okay for such center location.

It was an amazing experience. We never knew what it would be like to stay in the old Abbey but the combination of the old (history, beautiful architecture, stunning views of the lake and the surrounding landscapes) and the new (neat, modern facilities, access to the pool and sauna) was exceptional. We loved how big our apartment was. Our daughter had her own room and bathroom and we all had a separate living room with majestic high ceilings and a big kitchen. We also got a lovely hamper as a welcome gift, which was very handy when didn’t feel like braving the cold to go out to buy a snack.

Lovely little shops to walk in and out of.

Lovely little shops to walk in and out of. You get to watch the loch in action with the four levels the boats have to go through to get to the next section. This is very interesting and a good place to watch this. There are many walks you can do along the Loch which are very picturesque.

Beautiful scenery. Brilliant trips on the Loch Ness Cruises. Plenty of places to visit. Plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, gift shops. Fascinating watching the boats going up and down the series of locks. It certainly was not a disappointment.

The local pubs are excellent for food and drink and the Loch...

The local pubs are excellent for food and drink and the Loch boat tour (Cruise Loch Ness) is a must. Gorgeous little city, great for a 2 or 3 night stay. DelightfulNess is great for lunch and the Lock Inn does a brilliant dinner.

Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness.

Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness. It's quite in the mornings and evenings but gets very busy over day with day tourists by the bus load. Our accommodation was not on the main road, so we hardly noticed the other tourists. Great place for day touring to all four directions as we did.

Fort Augustus definately worth a visit although gets very busy with tourists. We appreciated slightly quieter places with less people around. There are a few places to eat out and would recommend the Chinese food at the Richmond House Hotel where we were staying. A couple of pubs too which are right on the canal and providing a welcome rest

Lovely wee village on the canal and loch, nice pubs some lovely shops and overall very nice place! Easy to walk around from central car park, if driving through watch out for the swing bridge, although it doesn’t take long to operate and is interesting to watch!

The location of the guest house was perfect and close to the centre of Fort augustus. Views from the dining room out were amazing, and they had a nice outside area. Our room was compact but nice and comfy and was exactly what we needed for a couple of nights. We made the use of the dining area one evening where we just sat in front of the fire with a few drinks. The owner of the guest house was friendly and helpful and always made time to speak to us.

Beautiful building. Very good location. Very clean and comfortable. Met on arrival by Fernando. Showed us around the building, a bottle of wine and biscuits were at the apartment as a gift from Highland club. The leisure facilities at Highland club are very good, nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Highland Club is right on the southern shore of Loch Ness, amazing views. Several good restaurants and pubs Fort Augustus.

The location was excellent right on Neptune's steps and in the heart of fort Augustus. Easy to walk on to the Great Glen way and in a very picturesque location. Bus services in the area are reasonable and that makes a one way walk out and travel back reasonably easy. Plenty of places to eat around the area but beware of what time they serve to.

Location just above and with good views of Loch Ness and a mile away from Fort Augustus. Traditional old hotel, slightly dated but that added to the charm. Staff were great, and breakfast with smoked salmon, smoked haddock as well as the usual, was better than expected. Generous size bedroom and a renovated bathroom.
